What code is missing to call through to the Bird's constructor? Could someone tell me what is wrong with my answer here?

class Bird {
    String name;

    public Bird(String name) {
        this.name = name;
    }
}

class Parakeet extends Bird {
    public Parakeet(String name) {
        super.name=name;
    }
}```

Hi Nathan, The super() function extends the constructor of the parent class. To do this you simply pass the argument into the super function so you code should look like this :

class Parakeet extends Bird {
    public Parakeet(String name) {
        super(name);
    }
}```
