What computer should I buy for team treehouse schooling?

I am exciting about starting school here and I'm interesting in learning to make both apps and websites. I dont make much but am good with my money and willing to spend to better myself in this field, if anyone has any input it would be much appreciated. Any good cheap Macs??

A used MacBook Air is good if you want to do iOS app development and keep the cost down. I wouldn't get one any older than 3 years old. You might have to replace the battery if you get one that old. Depends on how the previous owner used it.

Thanks Ron, would the air be good to for website design as well?

We will need some details about you and what you plan to make.

What do you use now. Stick to what you know if you can, no reason to learn a new OS while learning 50 new programming concepts. That's just to much.

If you want to make IPhone apps you will need a Mac hands downs.

For Web design (HTML, CSS, PhotoShop) I recommend Macs or Windows.

For programming and backend web design I recommend Mac or Linux or a Linux virtual machine on Windows because they are Unix based and the command line is awesome!

For android apps anything will work.

It all depends on you!

Well I work html at work, my website there is www.rivercitycoins.com . But I am an amateur. I know I dont want to make any new programs, just use the ones out to make my sites. I am an idealist and I have a couple website ideas as well as apps. I imagine there is more advertising income in ios considering the amount of ppl with iPhones. Either way I am unsure about the section of learning something new and to stick to what I know because right now I'm not trained in anything. I do have a good ability to learn tho.

Its sounds like need a mac

How do I tell y'all about me and what I plan to make?

You could use a Mac, I use windows or Ubuntu Linux myself. IPhone apps will require a mac though.

It is great you are eager to learn. For what you want to do I would recommend the Front-end web track. It covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript and a few more great things which should help make your site great!

For IPhone apps I would recommend the Swift track.

If you want to tell us about yourself you could at it to your profile.
