General Discussion

What course should I do....???

I am wanting to learn how to develop a web site which will allow my users to create leagues and knockout competitions for there chosen sport, working out who plays who and when, allowing them to enter results, then the league being worked out from the results ( in the case of a league) or who goes through to next round to play who (in the case of knockout competitions).

Any guidance would be appreciated.

That could be a big project for a beginner but anything is accomplish-able.

Since you're new and there's probably not enough time for you to both learn code and also develop this concept you seem to have, instead of starting fresh with the "Web Design" course I personally would go with the WordPress track.

If you aren't familiar with WordPress it has a lot of the functionality you may be looking for, and easy to use plugins could already have been created by someone else in the WordPress community for you to use and help with your project and learning curve.

I guess my point is to not recreate the wheel, unless that's your goal and you have lots of time to learn the foundations of web programming.

Hope this helps.
