I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish.... but your background color for your RelativeLayout and the text color for your TextView are both white... so I doubt you'll see your text.

The question that i was instructed to solve is as follows:

The current layout has black text on a white background. Let's change the text color to be white. You will need to add the android:textColor attribute, and copy/paste the Android white value from the RelativeLayout's android:background attribute.

So where did i go wrong?

The line you added should be "textColor" not "textcolor"
