Random is a class which here is helping you through a method in giving back random numbers. You are instantiating or creating an object of the random class and then using that object which here is "randomGenerator" to call the method nextInt(parameter). Parameter here is the number of random numbers that it will provide you. For ex 3 will give you 0,1,2 randomly, 4 = 0,1,2,3 randomly and so on.
I think you should probably study Java track if you haven't which will help you understand the basics of objects.
