what do you think of this?

So I am doing the pingpong project in the Objective-C basics course. We are suppose to try to program this on our own...I wasn't sure where to start or anything and just followed along with Gabe to see how he would solve it...is Am I doing something wrong if I'm not grasping everything here? somewhat discouraging...
