What do you think of this website? :)

Hey everyone! I just finished a website I decided to do as a side project. The main purpose for this was to practice what I already knew, and to have something to show down the road as tangible evidence for my skills. I currently live in Kansas City, Missouri. And decided to make a very simple website that literally has a snippet of info about the city. I'm aware it's quite plain, however, Its just for practice and a portfolio :)

NOTE: I'm currently working on creating a higher-relolution header so it doesn't appear blurry on higher-pixel dense devices

EDIT: Added layer effect and some transitions as well as delays, more feedback is welcome!

Set a max width to the body. The text fills the width of the screen makes it hard to read.

I think it's great! Maybe you can add transitions to the link to wikipedia!

Add this kind of thing to your CSS:

a {
  color: white;  /* Replace white with the color you want *before* the link is on hover */

  transition-duration: .7s;  /* This represents how many seconds the transition from white to blue will take */
  transition-property: color;  /* This represents the property we want to transition */
}

a:hover {
  color: blue;   /* Replace blue with the color you want the link to be *while* hover */
