PHP PHP Functions Introducing Functions PHP Function Default Arguments

What does an argument "passing trough" mean?

Hello everyone, little embarrassing to ask this but I want to have a clear understanding of the basics in order to develop strong foundations to keep learning without having to comeback to basic terms.

So, my question is as the title says.
Could someone explain to me what is to pass trough an argument?

thanks for your time! :D

It is the argument you're invoking with the function.

hello('Lucas');

'Lucas' is the argument you are passing through that the function will act upon.
