what does he mean when he keeps says 'telling the function call to use as this'?

I'm not understanding what he is saying, from looking at the code 'this' in the call method, is the song constructor function, is this correct? If not what is it and if it is the song function, could you explain why it is important to put this in the parameter if the media.call() is in the the {}
