What does it take to freelance as an iOS dev?

Hey,

I've been learning iOS development for a while (through treehouse, codeschool and the BNR and made a couple of apps myself, but nothing too complex yet).

What do you think it takes to be freelance ready? When do you think I should make the jump? And then, should I learn stuff outside of the iOS world (like SQL)?

I'd love to hear the thoughts of someone having landed a job after Treehouse or anyone else.

Thanks, Gary

Hi, don't know if i have the experience you need, but no one replied, and i want to offer my thoughts. I've been trying to learn Obj C and program iOS for a while now, but only used books, with no teacher. Was not easy. This site is amazing, but i found this other site, since you have more knowledge, thought you might like it: http://www.programmr.com It is a playground for programming. ^^ Also, some courses in person or online should help. I'm going with SNHU online university for Computer Science, it's got some nice degrees. Finally, learning Javascript, PHP, and/or HTML would be helpful to make more varied apps. Good luck! -Breanna
