What does "rbenv rehash" mean exactly?

I don't quite understand what does "rbenv rehash" mean and how it works. Could anyone explain?

1 Answer

Actually it's a deprecated command. Now rbenv runs rehash automatically every time you do a gem installation (and when you uninstall it) :-)
