What happened to all the Treehouse tutorials on how to use their software and community etiquette???

Like I'm finding it rare to see the tutorial that accompanies most lessons on How to Ask a Question

lol, mee too , they just left some sort of 3col span on the right xD Maybe thier updating it? since the other one in my opinion wasnt so good . Or well, they updated the name from Forum -> Community :D and some icons etc.. Maybe thier working on something .

You can find most of them in the Community Forum under the Featured category.

Where is that? i dont see it in the Communicty forum .

Forum you'll see category filters on the right hand side of the search bar. set those to Featured and General Discussion

Ooo, thats helpful , thats cool! Thank you. Finaly they did somehting cool about it.

How about these threads:

https://teamtreehouse.com/community/how-to-ask-good-questions-on-the-forum

https://teamtreehouse.com/community/posting-code-to-the-forum

https://teamtreehouse.com/community/howto-guide-markdown-within-posts

But I read a while ago the "tips" link wasn't working:

I agree though that TeamTreehouse needs a good forum etiquette thread!

It should be a "sticky" (an admin notice thread that sticks to the top of the forum).

I posted this thread that had that suggestion (among many others that were shot down):

https://teamtreehouse.com/community/some-questions-about-treehouse-including-internals-and-a-few-suggestions

It was only later that I found this thread:

https://teamtreehouse.com/community/a-sticky-thread-to-help-forum-users

I also belong to the xvbt programmer forum.

Here is the relevant FAQ and "Hot to Participate Effectively" stick thread from that forum:

http://www.xtremevbtalk.com/faq.php?faq=evbf_faq

http://www.xtremevbtalk.com/tutors-corner/150438-participate-effectively.html

The second thread would be an EXTREMELY valuable thread to look through to

develop the same sort of thread for the TeamTreehouse forum with topics like:

  • Introduction
  • Research the answers you are given
  • Don't ask for help with code that could be used Maliciously
  • Software piracy is illegal and unethical
  • There is no such thing as a stupid question
  • Good communication is important (no l33t speak)
  • If you don't know the answer, don't post
  • Let the Moderators do the Moderating
  • Forum should come last
  • Think about the subject line
  • Encourage public posts - share the knowledge!
  • No Shotguns Allowed!
  • Why we don't do your homework

Here would be my #1 candidate for a stickie thread, though:
