What happens if for any reason the sprint didn't deliver working software?

I understand that as a developer you are commited as a pig, but what happens if you don't finish your work for any reason? Maybe the software still have bugs and is not working property, is the scrum master responsable for that? but if so, the commited one is the scrum master not the team member. Anyway, sometimes happens things that are under control, can you adjust the time box over the course?

I think they would extend the time box or make you move on the next sprint.
