Hi Melissa,

You can work locally for example and change this at a later date.

The Migrating WordPress from Local to Live Server video in the Local WordPress Development will go over this if you want to check it out first to be sure.

Hope that helps :)

awesome thanks. is it possible to set up one domain name. use it to practice coding two different websites? i was thinking of just getting a general domain name to practice multiple websites and then if i want to publish them later to buy their own domain. im assuming you code in a text editor ( i have sublime and then upload the code through ftp onto the domain later is that correct?

Hi Melissa,

Yes, you will be able to transfer across domains.

The Codex has more information on this if needed :)
