What I'm i doing wrong?

trying to answer this question and not sure why my code is not working correctly. any answers?

var today = 'Friday'

if ( money >= 100 || today !== 'Friday') {
  alert("Time to go to the theater");    
} else if ( money >= 50 || today !== 'Friday') {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner");    
} else if ( money > 10 || today !== 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie");   
} else if ( money >= 9 || today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");   
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");

You don't have a semi-colon after your today variable.

thank you for the catch but still not working. this is what im getting back:

Bummer! Hmm. Looks like there is at least one logical OR operator -- that's the || symbols. Those test if just one of the conditions are true

I think you want to check if today is === "Friday" because the last statement is saying "This isn't Friday, I need to stay home." So change all of your !== to ===. Also change all of your || to && because you need the money AND you need it to be Friday.

Thanks Kyle! that worked. i did change them however the statement i need to display still had the pipes not the &&. thanks a bunch.
