JavaScript Introducing JavaScript Let's Make a Game Doing Things With Functions

What is a method?

I'm not understanding the purpose of a method in JS. Is a method like a pathway to a code library?

A method is kind of function. The name "method" is used when the function is part of an object.

Another way to put it would be to say a method is a property of an object that is also a function.

Hi Steven, Good to "see" you again, and thanks for your help! :) I always wondered if method was the same thing as a function...and I appreciate the concise reply & some better understanding that no, they're a bit different.

Thanks for the clarification Steven.
