Hi
Some sites are slow, some sites are really good and you enjoy browsing them.
So, what makes websites perform better?
Is it the language used in building them?
Is it the hosting and the CPUs?

26,540 PointsThere are many factors that can effect the speed / load time of a website.
For example:
- How many calls is there to the server
- Have files sizes been kept to a minimum
- How efficiently the code was written
- Does any content have to be loaded from external sources
Obviously if you have a slow internet connection (oh I remember the days of Dial-Up) web pages are going to load slowly.
These are just a few factors that effect page load time, there are many more...
