Ah, ha! What he is saying is actually the word "tedious", NOT an abbreviation "tds".

From the dictionary, tedious is defined as: too long, slow, or dull: tiresome or monotonous.

An example would be: buying a dishwasher for your kitchen means you won't have the tedious nightly task of washing dishes and scrubbing pots and pans by hand.
