i wrote string favoritecolor = "red"; and it is wrong ..... why ??

it should be like that String favoriteColor ( color with a capital C) = "red";

It's looking for the name to be capitalized as favoriteColor, not favoritecolor, with the first word lower case and the following words capitalized. This is the normal convention for variable names in Java.
