What is the best application to where you can write your coding notes?

I understand that writing your notes on a pencil and paper is good too, however I would like to take notes on an application on the computer if possible.

Writing notes on the Microsoft Word is not very good for me, especially when writing code.

If possible can you guys please recommend me an application that is made for taking notes with coding in mind?

Thanks in Advance!

My favorite application for taking notes is Evernote. I've created several notebooks within Evernote, one for each language I'm learning. It's a really great way to organize your information, and you can access it on all your devices.

I like Sublime for simple text stuff -- its got all kinds of search and matching options which are handy for regular text and code -- try it for taking notes. Also, I like Scrivener for all sorts of editing and quick change flexibility -- the "corkboard" style view is handy for seeing similar projects, without having to wade through them one at a time.. hope that helps! :)

I'd suggest either use ResophNotes or MarkdownPad on Windows.

For non-coding notes I useworkflowy
