What is the best layer slider like plugin for wordpress?

I'm looking for a hero image and text layered slider image plugin for wordpress but most of them are absolutely terrible for google page speed insights. They don't mark js as aysnc or defer and they make a large number of http requests. Do you know of one that is amazing at google page speed but is also responsive and allows for layers? I am willing to pay for one but I payed for Layer Slider and it is really bad for google page speed insights. Let me know, thank you.

If your theme is built with bootstrap or foundation I would recommend using the built in plugins.

Depending on how many features you want, I have heard good things about slider revolution (https://revolution.themepunch.com)

Lastly, if you want to improve page speed and want to test it in online tools such as Google Page Speed, I would highly recommend the WP Rocket plugin and also an image optimization plugin such as WP Smush.
