I see these terms a lot in programming. The last sentence I encountered them was in Python Basics course: "Data is stored as all kinds of values." I think “data” here means information that we work on in our programs. Then what about “values”?

Treehouse Moderator 49,057 PointsThere are different types of data (strings, booleans, lists, etc.). Values on the other hand refer to what is actually being used.
for example:
isValid = True # True is a value of data type boolean
