What is the difference between the regular "try - catch" method and "try with resources" presented in this video ?

I can't seem to observe what are the differences and benefits of using the "try with resources" concept that Craig is referring to in the Java Serialization video. Can somebody please explain to me this concept ? Thank you !

Oracle has a good explanation:

try with resources

Hope this helps,
