What is the problem with ASP.NET?

Why do many developers don't like to use ASP.NET?

Why ASP.NET is not so popular among starters?

One reason might be that the development community as a whole favors programming languages that are open-source, and are moving away from ones that are proprietary. There is nothing inherently "good" or "bad" about languages, but there is a perception that ASP.NET is not the future.

That being said, there are still tons of jobs for ASP.NET out there, often times paying more for the same skill level compared to developers in other languages. I would keep learning and pushing your comfort levels, as development is always going to be changing and evolving.
