What is the property that specifies the initial main size of the columns?

I can't seem to get this to work

Hi Darius, the 'flex-basis' property is what you are looking for. To pass the challenge, add '---' to the flex shorthand property you have applied to the column class. It would look like this: .column{---}

Thanks a lot, that made it more clear.

I ended up using this, to set the columns to display in one line when 300px or wider:

.column { flex: 1 300px; }
