what is wrong with my code

where am i getting wrong ,on the preview is displaying correctly

In a word: space. You've managed to include an extra space in your string and now on Treehouse it's causing an error in regards to the evaluation of the string. You have one too many spaces between named and the closing quotes. Take a look:

echo "The lead character from 2001: A Space Odyssey is named " . $fullName ."!";
