What is wrong with my usage of "different from" and "not" (character "!")?

I put

Your code would work. However, for whatever reason, the quiz wants the greater than sign in the first slot. Try > , &&, and ! in your answer blanks.

I agree with Jennifer, the task is to use the greater than sign (>) to complete the code challenge. However there is nothing wrong with your code, in real life it would work. Well done :)
