What is wrong with this .scss code ?

Here is the question. It was the last one. We want to add an exception for <a> tags that are in the <div> with a class of .footer: those links should be purple. Use the post-selector ampersand to achieve this.

Here is my answer.

/* Write your SCSS code below. */

p {
 a
{
color:red;
}

 > a
{
color:blue;
}

 a  {
  &:hover {
  opacity: 0.5;
 }

 .footer  & {
color:purple;
  }
 }
}

You have to put div.footer for this to pass. You should have a space between the property and value as well, such as with color: and purple.

i.e.

div.footer  & {
  color: purple;
}
