I am currently taking the Android Development track here at Treehouse, and I was not expected to know anything about coding to start the first course. Ben did an awesome job explaining everything I needed with Java and XML.

I started off straight with Android a while back but, now Treehouse has Java courses and they will definitely help invite you into the world of Android :)

It's probably best to now start off with the Java courses so that you can understand the basics of what is happening in the code as, like others have said, Android uses Java as the main programming language.

Also, Ben and Craig do a great job at explaining everything you need to know so, you should have no problems! If you do though, go ahead and let us know on the forums! There's plenty of us here to help explain anything you don't understand :)

You don't really need to know any. But if you know Java that's good too.

Well android uses Java as main programming language :)

Java would be nice to learn a bit before hand but also html would be good to review (and its easy) because the xml format is very similar to html.
