Hi,
I wanted to start learning a language, But there's so much options out there and it's hard for beginners to choose between one.
Some of my friends said go learn Python it's great for web developing, but another friend suggested Java, Because with java you can develop windows, android, web almost anything.
I really don't know to focus on which one :D,
I was thinking about learning Python first, because i'm really interested in web developing after that i'll go for Java.
What's your suggestion for a beginner like me?
Thanks, Jey

2,628 PointsIf you never had an experience with coding or developing before, you should start with de Front-End Development, in Front-End Development you will learn how to build a fix website from zero and learn languages like HTML, CSS and javascript that are present in almost every kind of projects, then you can learn languages for a Back-End Development such as Ruby or Python or learn how to program IOS or Android Apps with Java and Objective-C, but you really should start with Front-End Development, you gonna have fun, believe me :D, and then i suggest you to learn Ruby ( I love it!!!) and Rails Development.

Courses Plus Student 11,888 PointsSorry i forgot to say i'm a front-end developer right now, HTML, CSS and jQuery, I had so much fun :D that's why i'm gonna dive into the Back-end Developing.
Ruby sounds good, treehouse is also written in Ruby. but in php vs python, 99% of internet suggested Python between these two.

2,628 PointsYep, i had experience programming Python and PHP, and I can say to you, the internet is right :) Python is pretty good, but comparing the two languages (PHP and Python) I can say that PHP is more Simple to write, but Python is more "direct", with Python you can use Django that is a really strong Framework for a Back-End programming, so between the two i prefer Python two, but my true passion is Ruby :D
