General Discussion

What languages should be used to build a Web App?

To extend my programming experience and knowledge I am wanting to build some sort of Web application, but I am unsure on what language would be more suitable. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

There's not really a good answer for this. A lot of it depends on the language you like and if it has the necessary tools to build what you want without causing you to rip out all of your hair. PHP and Ruby are our current offers here at Treehouse, both with very solid tracks, and I'll be releasing the first course for Python next month (July 2014).

Hoping to see some Node.js covered soon!
