Hi: i am starting to learn swift and I realize i need a mac computer . I know mac computers are expensive so i am wondering what exactly do i need to look for in a mac so i can program in it. meaning: i don't want to buy the newest , most expensive one. :) thanks for your help :)

If you're looking for something inexpensive an Mac Mini is perfect as it has plenty of power to run Xcode, for something with a little grunt however I normally set the baseline to a MacBook Air as they have almost triple the amount of power but cost more.

50,595 PointsGreat advice, Chris Upjohn - I just wanted to recommend the Mac mini, too. IMHO it's the most inexpensive way to start (while using your standard mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc. you might already own)
