what should i do if all local jobs around me want a developer with experience with C based scripting language?

Most of the local jobs around me want a full stacked C programmer i.e. a programmer familiar with the C writing language. I have no experience on this and there arent any tutorials on this site for C based programming. Where can i learn C and is it worth learning in the first place? I have read many articles saying that the C language is becoming outdated. what should i do?

Treehouse has a ton of amazing content, but no matter what field you land in, I don't think you'll be able to get away with just Treehouse content alone. That being said, if your dream job requires you to have skills outside of those covered here, by all means, acquire those skills. Use them to build onto the skills you are getting here if you have to. Here are a couple of C resources you might want to check out to get you started if you go that way:
