12,035 Pointswhat to learn next??
Currently I have good skills in HTML CSS JavaScript and Jquery. So I can make good static websites. However, I now want to improve my skills further but I don't know what to do next.
The more I read the more stuff there is I could be possibly learning but how do you choose. I see a lot on frameworks, or react, or angular, or Content Management Systems, back end, server side, node and so on
My desire is to be able to make a website that I could give to a friend with no knowledge of coding who could then go away and update it himself.
Knowing my current skill set what would you advise doing next? Obviously I'm not looking for the complete answer just some advice. Hopefully some of you have been in the same position.

23,118 PointsIn your case I would learn PHP, because:
"My desire is to be able to make a website that I could give to a friend with no knowledge of coding who could then go away and update it himself." === WordPress.
