What would happen in the for loop if the data returned from the key "posts" wasn't in the NSDictionary format?

In the for loop we create a new NSDictionary instance, and then I guess assign it the returned bits from the blogPostArray. However this works because I assume that we just know that the original JSON data has the correct format, where the data in the curley brackets after the "Posts" key is also in key:object format. If this wasn't the case what would happen and what could we do?
