whats the difference between installing locally in this manner as opposed to the way described here?

whats the purpose of installing locally as described in this video (https://teamtreehouse.com/library/how-to-install-wordpress-on-your-computer) if treehouse is just going to have us install it locally a different way?

Different methods exist for local development (MAMP/XAMPP, Vagrant, Docker, etc.). It's good to have an understanding of how to use each of them.
