What's wrong with my function?It says 'Parse error'.

<?php

  $current_user='Mike';

  fuction is_mike(){
    global $current_user;
    if($current_user == 'Mike'){
      echo "It is Mike";
    }else{
      echo "Not Mike";
    }
  }

  is_mike();

?>

It says: syntax error, unexpected 'is_mike' (T_STRING).What does it mean?
