when adding menu array whole page wont load

add_theme_support( 'menus');

function register_theme_menus() {

register_nav_menus(
    array(
            'primary-menu'  => __( 'Primary Menu')
        )
)

This is awkward because not all your code is inside the code block, but your function should look like this:

<?php 

function namespace_register_menus() {
    register_nav_menus(
        array(
            'primary-menu'  => __( 'Primary Menu')
        )
    );
}

add_action( 'init', 'namespace_register_menus' );

?>

I think the issue is that you're missing a semicolon after the register_nav_menus(); statement. (line 8)
