When and why would you install WP via Firezilla and create your own database rather than use hosting 1 click install?

I am just starting the Wordpress Development Track and although i understand how to do both, the video does not make it clear why you should do it one way rather than the other, is there any benefit doing it one way or another?

Hi Richard,

many times the Hosting providers are slow when it comes to updating their one-click-installation-packages.

Thus to make sure, that you have the latest WP version installed, it is recommended to download the WordPress package from wordpress.org, create an empty database and then go through the simple 5 minute installation.

Hope this helped

Thank you Saskia, that makes a lot of sense.
