When can we use the <pre> tag?

Just from watching this video, and when is the <pre> usually used? Is it just when you are displaying for code examples?

Hi,

This defines preformatted text so is often used for code samples as you mention (as it will retain extra spaces required).

You can find more info on w3schools and on the MDN.

Hope that helps :)

Seems easier if you want to just copy and paste something in.
