When I press F1 my Macbook Air wants to adjust the brightness, not show Help. How can I change this?

Is there a way to invoke help through a setting in Android Studio?

Hi!

Try enabling "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" under Keyboard in System Preferences.

That should fix it!

Steve.

That worked, thanks. New to Macs so still learning!

Glad that sorted it ... and enjoy the Mac - they are a law unto themselves at times!

Very different from a Windoze box.

Also, if you don't want to change your Mac settings, pressing fn+F1 should work as well.
