When opening a new project android studio doesn't show anything. Just ''No files are open'' the whole UI is different.

How do I make an android app? Not with these lessons I presume, since you talk to us like but then don't show how to get the view same as yours on the IDE. Yes it's the same version and also does the same in the newest one.

What error are you getting? There may be a BIOS change required for this. Have a look through this post for info on that.

Steve.

A haa... Hyper-V. So there is a solution. Also gotta have virtualization on on BIOS Thanks so much! :)

No problem - glad you got sorted.

Hi Jesse,

Happy to help you out - can you post some screen shots of what you're seeing and take me through what you did to get there. And are you using a Windows machine, Mac or Linux?

Thanks,

Steve.

Mmm... I apologize for the post, I was really really frustrated... It started working like magic after a couple days after several reinstalls, now that there actually is something to work with, I get an error when trying to launch an AVD:

Cannot launch AVD in emulator. Output: emulator: WARNING: could not load skin file 'C:\Users\Inked\AppData\Local\Android\sdk/C:\Program Files\Android\Android Studio\plugins\android\lib\device-art-resources/nexus_5/layout', using built-in one emulator: ERROR: x86 emulation currently requires hardware acceleration! Please ensure Intel HAXM is properly installed and usable. CPU acceleration status: HAX kernel module is not installed!

Any insight?

Or well, it's clear what's wrong but how do I fix it

Yes - let me find a previous post about this. The fix is straightforward ... give me a minute.

Yeah I got it already I believe, thanks anyway

Cool! Hope it works.

Steve.

Have a read at this and see if that helps you get it fixed.

Let me know how you get on.

Steve.
