When to create a class?

I'm not sure why, but I'm having a difficult time understanding when to create a class in my program or even WHY I should create a class, same with an object. just not clicking with me.

OK. What if there is no useful class that can store the variables you need? Or no class that functions like a Person?

Say you're making a program that keeps track of Students in a school. How do you know how many you have, What their names are, Or their id number?

Write back so we can see your thought process together and work through it.
