Where am I supposed to create the array?

there is no .h or .m so how am I supposed to create an array and implement the area in the same?

You just to this NSArray *booksArray = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:@"Hamlet", @"King Lear", @"Othello", @"Macbeth", nil];

you do it in the same file what ever you need to you but all you are doing is making an NSArray
