Where can I change to Layout Editor using Android studio when editing main.xml?

Hey,

I started developing in Android Studio as it has been used in other Treehouse Projects. Unfortunately, I just can't switch to Layout Editor mode, I only find the plain XML view.

I use Android Studio 1.0.1 (and Ubuntu 14.04, if relevant).

Oh I got what you mean now. Yes android studio does not have that. You'll have to do it manually by going to the strings file and adding in another string.

Thank you Gloria for taking the time to answer my question. I have that option for layouts, but when I open app/res/menu/main.xml (as it is had done in the video) there is only the plain text mode.

Maybe if you take a look at the video that this question is linked to, it is easier to get my question

It depends on what you are trying to edit but you should be able to see the design editor in the down left side tab as it is in this pic.
