Where does current_user come from?

In the Building Social Features course, the second video has us writing tests for the statuses controller. I noticed that the statuses controller uses a "current_user" class/method, so I was just wondering where does it come from? Does it come from the Devise gem? Thanks in advance!

Yes. It's from Devise.
