Where does global packages save?

Andrew Chalkley local packages save in path where we execute the npm install command but where does global package save please tell me the path in windows and also in linux.

My computer is C:\Users[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\npm\node_modules

My Linux is Computer\home[USERNAME]\node_modules\
