CSS CSS Selectors Selectors - Beyond the Basics DRY CSS

Where does Guil get his styling from?

I'm always a little confused when I'm going through these CSS tutorials, on where the instructors are getting their HTML styling from. Are they just making them up on the fly, or are they following a guide? How do they know what decisions to make?

Allison-- Experience! To keep us focused on the important stuff, the instructors will have done some of our work for us, especially styling buttons, etc. Play around as much as you can, and try some design courses! Best of luck!

In my experience, the design process takes longer than what's being shown in the lessons and I find it frustrating because I don't understand the decisions that are being made in choosing the design styles. I just wish it was more clearly communicated that there's a style guide being used for the lessons.
