Hi TARUN VIJ,

I recommend you go through our JavaScript Foundations Deep Dive. If you feel like you need a crash course in programming basics, you should try our Introduction to Programming Deep Dive before trying JavaScript Foundations.

I hope that helps! :)

hello nick , thanks for the reply . i went through introduction to programming part .However i am looking for modules that clear AJAX concepts as well as json concepts . can you tell me where can i find those ? .

Hi TARUN VIJ,

We don't really cover AJAX or JSON in isolation because you typically need a backend with which to interact. You don't necessarily need to learn Ruby on Rails to work with either of those, but you'll likely need some sort of backend (PHP is another option here).

Jason Seifer and Randy Hoyt might be able to shed some light on this. They're our Ruby and PHP teachers, respectively.

thanks nick . i will consult either of them .

I'm planning to talk about this in my next project, building a PHP service and interacting with it using AJAX.

that will be awesome and make tree house even more awesome for me . i am building webpages with basic knowledge of html css and javascript and now trying to use either local storage or query strings to move data from one page to another . so this will be tremendous help . Randy any timeline on when this module will be up ?

Right now I can just say "later this year." I'm wrapping up work on the current project ("Enhancing a Simple PHP Application") now. After that, I'll start planning out the next project. Stay tuned!

sounds good.
