CSS CSS Basics (2014) Enhancing the Design With CSS Media Query Basics

Where to place the @media queries

The video shows placing the @media queries at the bottom of the CSS stylesheet. When I went to the links provided by the instructor one of those said the queries was to be placed at the top of the CSS stylesheet. Then I was reading a comment provided by a student and it said to put the @media queries at the bottom. Is it top or bottom of the CSS stylesheet or does it even matter?

Normally, media queries are placed last so they will override other rules of the same specificity when their conditions apply. The media queries in the video you have linked to are indeed placed at the end of the CSS file.

A media query placed elsewhere would be done for some unique purpose, the specific situation would need to be examined for an understanding.
